Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth could ‘get back together again’ after splitting at the weekend, sources have claimed.
The Wrecking Ball singer, 25, and Aussie actor, 29, shattered hearts around the world when they announced the end of their seven-month marriage on Sunday.
Since then, Miley’s been seen kissing Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter in Italy, while Liam’s been surfing and hanging out with his bro Chris in Australia.
But there’s ‘absolutely still hope’ that the pair, who’d been dating on and off for a decade, could reconcile, according to People.
‘They are having a break right now because they needed it. It was a bad situation with a lot of disagreements,’ an insider told the site.
The source continued: ‘They both agreed it’s better to spend time apart, but this doesn’t mean their relationship is completely over.’
The stars haven’t completely ruled out a reconciliation because they’ve ‘been in similar situations’ before and have managed to ‘find their way back together again,’ according to People.
‘They are great together when they are happy. There is absolutely hope that they will get back together again,’ the insider claimed.

Hi all Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.
Miley’s rep confirmed that love was officially dead when she revealed the pair were broken up, saying in a statement: ‘Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers
‘They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart.’
