These couples didn’t find their happily ever after in 2017.
THE BACHELOR’S RICHIE STRAHAN AND ALEX NATION
They controversially coupled on the Channel 10 reality dating show in 2016 but the chemistry soon fizzled out for the rope technician and single-mum. It’s believed the pair split after The Logies in April, however did confirm their separation till months later.
Speaking of the breakup Nation — who is rumoured to be engaged to 31-year-old Melbourne chef and WFL teammate Maegan Luxa — told fans on Instagram that Strahan “will get his ever after. We both hoped for things to work, but life just is.”
“Sometimes things in life simply don’t work out for us. You cherish the nice memories and you move forward.”
TEGAN MARTIN AND SAM CROKE
In October, Confidential revealed that former Miss Universe Australia Tegan Martin had called time on her relationship with Randwick rugby player Sam Croke.
The news came after Martin appeared on Channel Ten reality show I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! On which she told campmates she wasn’t sure Croke was “the one” because she wasn’t in the right mindset after her previous relationship.
ELLE MACPHERSON AND JEFFREY SOFFER
The Australian model reportedly earned a seven figure payday when she split from her billionaire husband, Jeff Soffer, in June.
The couple were married in 2013 in Fiji after a notoriously on-again, off-again romance.

AMBER HEARD AND ELON MUSK
As soon as it began it ended. Despite only going public with their relationship in April, the Aquaman actor and Tesla billionaire ended their romance in August. However, the couple weren’t one to keep their feelings for one another private.
Days after the split, Musk commented on an Instagram post of Heard’s saying “BTW, just to clear up some of the press storm this weekend, although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another.”
“Long distance relationships when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds.”
CHRIS PRATT AND ANNA FARIS
The internet proclaimed love was dead when America’s sweethearts Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced they’d split after eight years of marriage in August.
Though the rumour mill went into overdrive, blaming the split of Pratt’s rising success and close relationship with co-star Jennifer Lawrence, the pair said the split was “amicable” and have request joint custody of their five-year-old son, Jack.
Speaking of what it was like to hammer the #couplegoals hashtag, Faris said “it’s understandable that people seem so invested in our happiness together. All I can say about that is, it’s all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through.”
AUDRINA PARTRIDGE AND COREY BOHAN

MEL B AND STEPHEN BELAFONTE
They were one out-there couple and their split has been extra spicy. The two announced they were parting ways at the start of the year, and it took eight months of bitter negotiations for the pair to agree on a multimillion-dollar settlement that guarantees the destruction of all their sex tapes.
Despite siting “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, claims have emerged from getting their nanny “pregnant” and “paying for her abortion”, as well as domestic violence.
After a five month romance, the two tied the knot in a Vegas wedding in June 2007.
KATY PERRY AND ORLANDO BLOOM
After cuddling up to each other at the Vanity Fair Oscar’s party in Feb., the couple announced their split just two days later, releasing a statement saying, “before rumours or falsifications gets out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, living space at this time.” Which basically means, no more nude paddle boarding photos!
