The boyfriend of Love Island star Sophie Gradon has reportedly died weeks after her death.
Aaron Armstrong’s body is said to have been found at a house in Blyth, Northumberland on Tuesday (10 July).
The 25-year-old last posted on social media on Monday sharing a touching tribute to his late girlfriend.
On Instagram, he wrote: “Just wish I could cuddle you all day miss you so much man Sophie, not a minute goes by without your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing I need them days back. I love you princess.”
A Northumbria Police spokesperson confirmed: “At around 12.20pm today (July 10) police received a report from the ambulance service that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth. There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”
Gradon, 32, died on 21 June. Her body had reportedly been found by Armstrong at her parents’ house in Ponteland, Northumberland. A cause of death was immediately unclear.
Following the discovery, he posted a photo of himself with her on his Facebook page and wrote: “I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your [sic] my world forever ever and always.”
Gradon made history on Love Island as one half of the show’s first same-sex couple with contestant Katie Salmon. She was born in Newcastle and crowned Miss Great Britain in 2009.
