Future has dropped a brand new mixtape for fans, Beast Mode 2.
A follow-up to 2015’s Beast Mode, the new fleet of tracks once more sees the Atlanta rapper collaborate with Zaytoven, working with the late Seth Firkins, Future’s in-house sound engineer, who died last September. The track “Doh Doh” also features Young Scooter.
It’s Future’s first solo release of the year, though he had a guest verse on “King’s Dead” – working with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and James Blake – which featured both on the Black Panther soundtrack and Jay Rock’s Redemption.
Last year saw him release two solo albums: one self-titled, the other named HNDRXX.
He appeared on Zaytoven’s own debut album Trap Holizay, while executive producing the soundtrack to the remake of the 1972 blaxploitation classic Superfly.
The rapper also guested alongside Jay-Z and Beyoncé on DJ Khaled’s “Top Off”, released back in March. Future heads out on a joint UK and European tour with Nicki Minaj later this year.
