Here we go again … are Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez over already? Amid reports the singers are taking a time-out, a source tells Yahoo that they simply “are working through their issues like any normal couple.”
“Everything is just magnified because of who they are,” our insider says.
Bieber, 24, and Gomez, 25, were spotted together (sort of) on Wednesday night in Beverly Hills at the same church service; however, they left in separate cars.
E! claims the pair had a bad fight recently, which according to one source caused them to “‘break up,’ however, they’ve been in contact the entire time and their feelings for each other have not changed.”
This comes just days after Gomez publicly acknowledged Bieber for the first time since they got back together in October 2017. Last week, she wished him a happy birthday on Instagram.
Don’t worry, Jelena fans, it’s not all doom and gloom for your favorite couple. “Things do seem different between them this time around, in a good way,” our source maintains. “It’s just been a lot recently.”
What counts as “a lot”? There’s the fact that Gomez’s family disapproves of her reconciliation with the “Sorry” singer. Her mom, Mandy Teefey, has had the hardest time with it, publicly airing some of her grievances. And in January, Gomez completed a two-week treatment program for anxiety and depression.
So, what does the future hold for Jelena? If history has taught you anything it’s that these two are always far from over. Consider whatever is going on as just another bump in their on-again, off-again romance.
