Tom Holland is officially unveiling his new Spider-Man: Far From Home suit on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. It’s been two years since Holland made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, in Anthony and Joe Russo’s Captain America: Civil War, and he’s already appeared in three installments in the franchise, with a fourth on the way. Although Spidey died in his last appearance – in this year’s Avengers: Infinity War – that doesn’t mean his MCU career is over just yet.
Holland recently wrapped filming Far From Home, an upcoming sequel to Jon Watts’ 2017 film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, which also has been confirmed to take place after the events of the Russos’ Avengers 4. And to accompany Spidey in his new adventure in Europe, he’s getting a brand new suit, one seemingly inspired by Superior Spider-Man from Marvel Comics. While fans have only gotten glimpses of the new suit in set photos over the past few weeks, it looks like it will finally be unveiled – officially, that is.
Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s social media team posted a new photo from tonight’s episode on Twitter, showing off Tom Holland wearing his new Spider-Man: Far From Homesuit. It appears that he will officially reveal the new suit on the Disney-owned late night talk show. Considering the fact that the movie wrapped production earlier this week, it’s possible that he might share story details with audiences if not a first look at the movie’s villain, Mysterio. But fans will just have to wait and see.
Again, while fans have already gotten plenty of looks at Holland’s new suit, it will be nice to see an official reveal of it. Plus, considering how talkative the Marvel actor is and that he’s appearing on a late night talk show, it’s certainly possible that he may reveal key details behind the new suit, such as where it comes from, what its unique abilities are (if it has any), and why he’s wearing it instead of his Tony Stark-made Homecoming suit.
But if fans are hoping to see anything but Holland in the suit, or even something like an official first look image of himself or the movie’s villain, they would be sorely disappointed. It’s far too early for a Far From Home trailer to release, especially since Marvel fans are still waiting to find out Avengers 4‘s title. But when time comes for Marvel to start marketing Spider-Man: Far From Home, it’ll be interesting to see how they dance around the issue of Peter Parker being dead.
